Error description
Snapshot History suffered from the storage shortage caused by NTH and KO2DMGRB. However, one identified problem is, that Snapshot History allocated a 4 MB buffer in lower private because storage in extended private was exhausted. Snapshot History must never allocate its buffers in lower private. . 160 MB allocated by DGOVMSTR -> 14 DB2 Subsystems are monitored with Snapshot History enabled. . Each instance of Snapshot History allocates 4MB for the mapping of the VSAM data set and 4MB as buffer for performance data retrieved from DB2. At least 1 MB is allocated for the VSAM data set. . This explains the majority of the memory allocation. -> 4 MB are allocated in lower private (address 00449000'x) by Snapshot History. This is a defect. Errors seen in OMPE Server joblog: . 11.35.37 STC02016 FPEV0003S DBQ2 GETMAIN 19 FAILED. SIZE 4194304, RC 4
