    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. *
    ****************************************************************
This APAR includes the following two enhancements:

    1. When the Fast Path Advanced Tool (FPA) of IMS High
Performance Fast Path Utilities (HPFPU) V3.2 reorganizes a
DEDB area with DBD change, Integrity Checker creates a new
RDE for the reorganized area. If there is no current RDE for
a DEDB area, Integrity Checker also creates an RDE for the
       area during reorganization by FPA.
To use this enhancement, you need to apply APAR PK79836 for
       HPFPU V3.2.

    2. When the Recovery function of IMS High Performance Image Copy
(HPIC) V4.1 performs a time-stamp recovery of a DEDB area,
Integrity Checker restores the RDE that was valid at the
specified recovery time and uses that RDE for DMB
       verification.
To use this enhancement, you need to apply APAR PK69500 for
       HPIC V4.1.

Additionally, if you want to enable this enhancement during
a time stamp recovery using an image copy taken under FPA,
you need to apply APAR PK79836 for HPFPU V3.2.

    = DOCUMENTATION CHANGE =
    ========================
IMS Library Integrity Utilities for z/OS Version 2 Release 1
User's Guide (Document Number: SC19-2479-00) should be changed
    as follows.
    ================================================================
Chapter 1. Overview of IMS Library Integrity Utilities
    1.5 Restrictions and considerations
    1.5.1 Integrity Checker
Before using the following jobs to recover a database to a
certain point of time by using an old DBD, you must recover
the registered DMB entry(RDE) that was valid at that time.

    <<Delete the following description.>>
    | - Time stamp recovery jobs for a DEDB database

    <<Add the following new restrictions>>
    |When you reorganize a DEDB area to change DBD definition by use
    |of the Fast Path Basic Tools provided in IMS High Performance
    |Fast Path Utilities, Integrity Checker does not create an RDE
    |for the reorganized area. You need to create an RDE for the
    |reorganized area by the LICON utility before using the
    |reorganized area.
    |
    |When you extend the size of a DEDB area by use of the Online
    |Area Extender utility provided in IMS High Performance Fast
    |Path Utilities, Integrity Checker does not create an RDE for
    |the extended area. You need to create an RDE for the extended
    |area by the LICON utility before using the extended area.

    Considerations
    <<Add the following new considerations>>
    |When you reorganize DEDB areas to change DBD definition by
    |using the Fast Path Advanced Tool of IMS High Performance Fast
    |Path Utilities Version 3 Release 2 that has APAR PK79836
    |applied, Integrity Checker creates new RDEs for the reorganized
    |areas. If reorganization completes successfully, but Integrity
    |Checker fails to create new RDEs, you must take one of the
    |following actions:
    | - Rerun the reorganization job to create new RDEs for the
    |reorganized areas.
    | - If you decide not to rerun the reorganization job and to use
    |the original areas, you must delete the RDEs that were created
    |during the reorganization by the DELETE.DB command of the LICON
    |utility before using the areas.
    | - If you decide not to rerun the reorganization job and to use
    |the reorganized areas, you must create the RDEs whose creation
    |failed during the reorganization by the INIT.DB command of the
    |LICON utility before using the areas.

    Chapter 2. Integrity Checker
    2.1 Overview
    2.1.1 What is an RDE
    <<Modify the following description.>>
How an RDE is created and maintained

Integrity Checker maintains an RDE automatically in the
     following cases:

     - If you change a DBD and use any of the following utilities to
    | reorganize a database or an area with the RDE, Integrity
Checker replaces the RDE with a new one:
        - IMS HISAM Reorganization Reload Utility
        - IMS HD Reorganization Reload Utility
        - IMS Parallel Reorganization
           - IPR Driver
           - IPR Reload Utility
        - IMS High Performance Load
        - IMS Online Reorganization Facility
    | - Fast Path Advanced Tool of IMS High Performance Fast Path
    | Utilities V3.2

    |- If you run a time stamp recovery job by using the recovery
    |function of IMS High Performance Image Copy V4.1 that has APAR
    |PK69500 applied, Integrity Checker restores the RDE that was
    |valid at the specified recovery time and uses that RDE for DMB
    |verification.

    Chapter 10. Troubleshooting
    10.1 Messages and codes
    10.1.4 IMS LIU messages
    10.1.4.1 FABL messages
<< Add the following description about a new message. >>
    |FABL0113W LIU CONFIGURATION NOT FOUND
    |Explanation: No global option module was found. The LIU
    |Integrity Checker has not been activated.
    |System Action: The IMS batch job continues processing without
    |the IMS LIU integrity Checker function.
    |Problem Determination: Check whether the global option module
    |is provided for the STEPLIB concatenation of the batch job.
    |Programmer Response: Supply the global option module to the
    |STEPLIB concatenation. Rerun the batch job.

    <<Modify the following description.>>
FABL0212W CHECKSUM CALCULATION WAS SKIPPED FOR MODULE: mmmmmmmm
     IN {DBD: dddddddd | DBD: dddddddd AREA: aaaaaaaa}
Explanation: IMS LIU Integrity Checker cannot calculate the
checksum value for module mmmmmmmm that is specified in either
ACB or DBD for non-HALDB full-function database dddddddd, HALDB
partition dddddddd, or area aaaaaaaa of database dddddddd.
System action: Processing continues without storing the
checksum value for the module into RDE.
Problem determination: Read the preceding messages that explain
    |the warning conditions. If this message is issued under the
    |Fast Path Advanced Tool of IMS High Performance Fast Path
    |Utilities, see the Considerations for using Integrity Checker
    |in the IMS High Performance Fast Path Utilities User's Guide
    |for the reason of the warning.
     Programmer response: None.
