Error description
After migrating to Rational Application Developer V7.5. Received error ''CHKJ3013E: Duplicate Resource-ref element' in problem view. There is a duplicate entry for resource-ref in deployment descri ptor. Clean and re-build all the projects, the error will disappear.
Local fix
Problem summary
Importing a J2EE 1.3 or 1.4 annotation project will cause a 'CHKJ3013E: Duplicate Resource-ref element' validation error if that project contains resource references. This happens because the project already contains a resource reference and the annotation processor will always delete and re-add the resource reference, except in this scenario the deletion is failing resulting in a duplication resource reference. This will only happen the first time the project is imported and can be manually cleaned by doing a Project ? Clean action against the project containing the error.
Problem conclusion
The annotation processor will ensure that all resource-references are removed before repopulating the resource-reference information that occurs during a build. Fix delivered in Rational Application Developer V7.5.2
