    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    Classic Fed server abends with a 913 when a non-RACF user
    attempts to define sequential file usegrammar. The server also
    hangs on to the file in this circumstance and the server needs
    to be recycled to free the file.

Problem conclusion

  • The code has been changed to call the SAF exit, when configured,
    when a sequential file is being defined to the server. The SAF
    exit catches the condition, thus preventing the 913 abend.
