Error description

  • The statistics reported by the Batch job that creates the .BPD
file are inconsistent with the numbers displayed in the reports
    on the client. For example:
    *
    Report shows:
    System hit,ratio, 99.35
    Application hit ratio 99.87
    Getpage request 508213
    Sequential 10904
    Random 497309
    *
The Client shows the following for ?getpage counters?
    Seq. Access 338
    RID List 2,408
    Rnd. Access 17,765
    Total: 20,511
    **
The BPACTIVITY REPORT LEVEL(SHORT) generated on customer
provided data has inconsistencies with data in .BPD file

Also, the field "Delay(msec)", the I/O device delay in
milliseconds, will be displayed correctly (current values are
    very high in some cases).

    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
Previously used matching algorithm for IFCID 6 and 7 caused
poor performance, storage overuse and inconsistensy in numbers
seen in batch reports and PE Client. I/O Read numbers not always
    were quite correct.

    PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
BPA code in charge of IFCID 6,7,8,9,10,198,202 processing has
been reworked. Considerably improved performance on big amounts
of input data, reduced storage footprint, improved Read numbers
accuracy and provided consistency between REPORT and PE Client
    shown numbers.
