PK63360: USING OC, GRANTS ARE GENERATED PRIOR TO MQT TABLE CREATION

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In DB2 Object Comparison Tool, when an MQT is created,
  grants ddl are generated prior to the table creation resulting
  in sqlcode -204
  Additional Symptoms: sqlcoden204 sqlcode204
  

Local fix

• Move the Grants DDL after MQT create
  

Problem summary

• ****************************************************************
  * USERS AFFECTED: Users of Object Compare V7.2 with GRANTs     *
  *                 for a materialized query table preceding     *
  *                 the MQT's creation.                          *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Object Compare sometimes  buffers DDL   *
  *                      statements in  the reverse order. The   *
  *                      CREATE DDL was produced  and then the   *
  *                      GRANT DDL.  The output process  moved   *
  *                      the DDL to the CHANGES file  as GRANT   *
  *                      DDL and  then  CREATE DDL.   This was   *
  *                      corrected by flushing the CREATED DDL   *
  *                      before adding the GRANT DDL to the      *
  *                      buffer.                                 *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *
  ****************************************************************
  Object Compare was changed to output the MQT CREATE before the
  MQT GRANTs.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem has been fixed in Object Compare V7.2.
