Problem summary

• ****************************************************************
  * USERS AFFECTED: In R710 &  R720,when user validates          *
  *                 WSL in DB2 V8 compatible mode.               *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Oncode 520 ,with user abend 4038        *
  *                      occurs  when WSL being validated in     *
  *                      DB2 V8 Compatible mode. Sqlcode -4700   *
  *                      is received when user attempts to       *
  *                      use new function mode before new        *
  *                      function mode is enabled.               *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: APPLY the PTF.                               *
  ****************************************************************
  Validation was tracking sqlcodes between -1000 to +1000 range
  and was not handled to support sqlcode -4700 (in this case).
  Changes are done to handle  sqlcodes  received out of range
  between -1000 to +1000.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem is been fixed both in V7.1 and  V7.2.
