Error description

  • RC=32 WHEN DFSPREC0 FAILS TO LOAD OR WHEN THE SUB ADDRESS SPACE
    GETS A JCL ERROR DURING START UP
    If DFSPREC0 fails to load or gets a JCL error, DRF will show a
    RC=32 as if DFSPREC0 ended with a RC=32. The DRF utility report
    will show only the RC=32 and no other information.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When a sub address space failed either  *
    *                      because the utility failed to load or   *
    *                      the DRFIAX proc name did not exist, DRF *
    *                      would give no messages and end with a   *
    *                      RC=32. RC=32 is not documented.         *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: INSTALL CORRECTIVE SERVICE FOR APAR/PTF      *
    ****************************************************************
    DRF has been changed to put the message "Sub address space
    failed" followed by the sub address name in the database
    recovery utility report. This will allow the user to look for
    the sub address name and see what has actually happened. Also
    the sortparm of the sortid parameter, SORTID(T,sortparm) is now
    correctly passed to Index Builder.
