Comments
FPB DEDB Pointer Checker verifies the segment length by the following method: The segment length value is verified whether it is in the range between the minimum length and the maximum length defined in DBD. In the case of SDEP segment, the length of the timestamp field attached at the end of SDEP data is not included in the LL value. In the case of the compressed segment, it is verified whether it is in between 3 and the maximum length added by 10. When DEDB Pointer Checker found the segment having the incorrect segment length, new FABA0168E message is issued and the DEDB Pointer Checker processing is continue without bypassing the CI containing the error. FABADBCI has been modified to add the checking of the ROOT/DDEP segment length. FABASDEP has been modified to add the checking of the SDEP segment length. Macro FABASEGL has been introduced to be embed above checking logic in both FABADBCI and FABASDEP. Macro FABUARCA has been modified to correct the misspelled word of FABA4095E and FABC4095E message texts. Macro ME1LTRL0 has been modified to correct the misspelled word of FABB0104I and FABB0112E message texts. ======================== = DOCUMENTATION CHANGE = ======================== The IMS High Performance Fast Path Utilities for z/OS User's Guide Volume 2: Fast Path Basic Tools Version 3 Release 2 (SC18-9870-03). Appendix O. FPB-messages and codes FABA messages The following message should be added as follows: FABA0168E SEGMENT AT RBA: xxxxxxxx (SEGCD: yy) HAS AN INVALID LENGTH OF SEGMENT Explanation: Program FABADA1 encountered a segment with an incorrect length during the serial "deblocking" of the CI. The length value is out of the range between the minimum length and the maximum length defined in DBD. If it is a compressed segment, it is out of the range and is in between 3 and the maximum length added by 10. System action: FABADA1 sets an end-of-job return code of 99, and continues processing. Programmer response: Correct any errors, and rerun the job. If this situation persists, report it to systems operations personnel.
