APAR status

Error description

  • REORG may fail and issue message DSNU016I due to incorrect
sequence of COPYDDN DD statements.

When objects are resequenced due to selected REORG options such
as KEEPDICTIONARY, the DD statements referenced by COPYDDN may
be out of sequence.

This occurs only when TEMPLATES are not used.

Local fix

  • Set the 'Generate Templates' job option to 'Y'.
