Error description

  • Running the batch BPOMACRD job to collect Report data for
    simulation of the BPA tool. The value in the field
    MAX_RECORDS (00000) * MAXIMUM NUMBER OF RECORDS TO BE
                                              * COLLECTED
    .
    Thus no records are collected. The batch report should return
    a return code since no trace records are collected.
    .
    User then attempts to run a simulation in the BPA tool and
    receives:
    BPOK6000
    Internal buffer pool analysis error
    because The catalog file is empty.
    .

Local fix

  • Issue can be avoided by not setting max records to zero when
    collecting data.
