PK57391: CMDELTA CHANGES FILE CONTAINS VIEW WITHOUT DROP RESULTS IN ADBCC ME ADDED VIEW AAA.AAA ALREADY EXISTS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The DB2 Administration Tool Change Management function created
  a CHANGES file which included a DROP VIEW and CREATE VIEW
  for a changed VIEW and a CREATE VIEW for a unchanged but
  dependent view but no DROP VIEW.
  This results in a MERGE report error:
  ADBCCME - Error(s) found. Please review output
  Added view aaa.aaa already exists
  ADBC002E - Severe error. Merge terminates
  The DB2 Object Comparision Tool code used by the DB2
  Administration Tool ALC line command executed via the CM feature
  did not recreate a view on a view when a base table was dropped.

  * RECOMMENDATION: APPLY the PTF.                               *
  ****************************************************************
  Object Compare was changed take into account of the disposition
  of the dependent view after the Admin Drop of the first view.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem has been fixed in Object Compare Ver 7.2.
