Error description

  • When comparing large number of objects for ECC6 SAP and using
Object Compare for R710 the user got:
U4038 SUBSCRIPTRANGE condition in DROP_OBJECT.2906.
The job used masking of owner from SAPR3 to SAPR4.
When using R720 and no mask nor ignore files the error was
U4038 SUBSCRIPTRANGE condition in  COMPARE_TABLES.4494 routine.

Local fix

*                 another full DDL version of SAP.             *

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Running Object Compare with SAP ECC6    *
*                      fails with U4038.                       *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: APPLY the PTF.                               *
****************************************************************
With such a big number of objects being compared an array
boundary has been exceeded causing OC to fail with U4038.

Problem conclusion
