Error description

• After putting a DB2 V8 subsystem into new function mode,
  customer received the following error in Omegamon DB2 asid, ie.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Memory can eventually become exhausted  *
  *                      and/or an ABEND0C4 can occur in the     *
  *                      Omegamon server address space when      *
  *                      obtaining system trace information.     *
  *                      Memory can also eventually become       *
  *                      exhausted due to sending messages, such *
  *                      as to the VTAM user's screen.           *

  PROBLEM SUMMARY:
  Memory was not freed by a routine called for system trace
  information, such as the System Status navigator item in TEP and
  exception processing in Classic.  It was also not freed by
  message sending routines.  Though these amounts are small, they
  will contribute to storage exhaustion.
  
  PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
  Handle obtaining a pointer such that a 4-byte storage overlay
  does not occur, and free memory obtained by the allocating
  routines.
