    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: For users of the RDORETRY=YES feature *
    *                      added with PK45226, applications may    *
    * not be coded to handle statusNL after *
    *                      a CHKP call.                            *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    Program Restart should be changed to make sure a dummy IEFRDER
    file is allocated for DLIBATCH jobs using the RDORETRY option.
    Previously, PRF would make sure no log file was allocated for
    IEFRDER, however applications coded to fail after receiving a
    non-blank status code would not be expecting a status code of
    'NL' either and fail as well.

Problem conclusion

  • Program Restart has been changed to make sure users selecting
    the RDORETRY option for DLIBATCH jobs would have a dummy file
    allocated for the IEFRDER DD statement.
