Error description

  • Abend S0C4 ( abends0c4 ) at offset x'83E' in Csect IRTXSC00,
eyecatcher 20051203-04.23-2.1.0.910-PK09539 H23D210 - V2R1M0
5655-E14.  This occurs after dynamic allocation fails for the
CTDS (Checkpoint ID Tracking Data Set).

Problem summary

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Program Restart is abending ABENDS0C4   *
*                      in an error message routine after a     *
*                      dynamic allocation for a CTDS tracking  *
*                      data set.                               *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

Program Restart should terminate the job with a U3620 abend
code if there is a dynamic allocation failure for a CTDS
tracking data set. Instead a S0C4 abend occurs in a message
rooutine.

Problem conclusion

  • Program Restart has been corrected to display the appropriate
error message before abending U3620.
