Error description

  • The DB2 Administration Tool panel ADB2E 'Explain' option U
'Upgrade the PLAN_TABLE to current DB2 version'
does not allow the owner to be changed nor use the owner
specified in field 'PLAN_TABLE owner' listed under option
L. This results in a message "No upgrade done".

*                 a plan  table with  an owner different than  *
*                 the DB2 SQL ID.                              *
****************************************************************
* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Option "U" on panel ADB2E does not      *
*                      allow the user to specify an owner      *
*                      for the plan table.                     *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *
****************************************************************
The owner for the EXPLAIN plan table defaults to the DB2 SQL ID,
and is  unchangeable,  when using the  UPGRADE function on panel
ADB2E.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • An owner field was added to all the upgrade functions on panel
ADB2E. In addition,  the owner fields on ADB2E and ADB2EC were
made scrollable.
