PK45191: GOC WHEN RUNNING APPLY JOB DOING CONVERSION STEP GET ABEND0C4 IN GOC2LCC

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• GOC runs to compare source and target objects from catalog. GOC
  run and completes rc=0. Then apply job is submitted and the
  convert step CONV0001 abends with abend0c4 in GOC2LCC statement
  39 at compile unit offset +0000042A ( 42a ).
  
  If the SGOCLLIB loadlib has been APF authorized, then running
  GOC2LCC will result in abend0c4 . Circumvention is to remove
  APF authorization from SGOCLLIB.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When running apply job ,gets SC04 abend *
  *                      in GOC2LCC when doing convert step.     *
  *                      This Abend occurs when GOC2LCC program  *
  *                      is not complied re-entrant but linked   *
  *                      re-entrant and if it is run from APF-   *
  *                      authorized library                      *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  When GOC2LCC  is not complied re-entrant but linked re-entrant
  and if it is run from APF- authorized library ,apply job results
  in Sc04 abend during convert step.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem has been fixed in V7.2 only.
