Error description

  • In the past, products could share or have separate control
    files.

DB2 Recovery Expert for z/OS and DB2 Log Analysis Tool can share
the same control file data set without interfering with each
other. DB2 Recovery Expert for z/OS was changed so that the RE
z/OS DB2 Log Analysis Tool interface uses a unqiue record key
and does not conflict with DB2 Log Analysis Tool.

The DB2 Object Restore product has always relied on the user to
configure DB2 Log Analysis Tool through the ALA interface and
share the same PCF. We do not believe this will change in the
future because of the product design.
