APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • SMP APPLY OF UK10921 or UK10920 or UK18944 can fail because
their co-reqs of UK10923, UK10922, or UK18943 are not applied
when IMS Connect Extensions is not installed. Functional
Support Library PTFs should not REQ CEX PTFs, they should IF-REQ
CEX maintenance.

Local fix

  • Add IFREQ and PRE to the SMP/E BYPASS Command.

REQUIRED SYSMODS FAILED COREQUISITE
SYSMOD UK18943 WAS MISSING.

Problem conclusion

  • Correctly build PTF to provide decision logic via IF FMID
statement to prevent IMS Parameter Manager V1.1 requiring
a IMS Connect Extensions product to be present in the same
CSI.
