APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • HPIC terminates with ABEND U4000 RSN=13 and message FABJ4613E
    when command /STA fails - even when FASTIC=COPY and AOIAUTO=N .
are used. HPIC reads an incorrect field in control blocks and
the 5th character of DDN is regarded as TOIAUTO control.

    ****************************************************************
    This APAR fixes following problems:
    - HPIC Image Copy function, terminates with ABEND U4000
      ( ABENDU4000 ) and message FABJ4613E ( MSGFABJ4613E ), when
FASTIC=(,DUMP) or FASTIC=(,COPY) is specified in ICEIN and the
5th character of DDN of the input DBDS is 'Y'.
Because HPIC refers to an invalid field in control blocks and
regards 5th character of DDN as a value of TOIAUTO= parameter.
    - HPIC Image Copy function terminates with ABEND U0047
      ( ABENDU0047 ) and message DFS047A ( MSGDFS047A ) when
      following conditions are fulfilled.
       - FASTIC=COPY process
       - Batch Image Copy
       - WAIT contorol is requested (explicitly or implicitly)
         during process of DSGs
Because HPIC does not set address of IMS control block for
DBRC unauthorization process and the process has failed.
    - HPIC Recovery function may terminate abnormally when an image
copy data set generated by FASTIC=COPY process is specified as
input data set in an IMS-compatible JCL.
Because HPIC attempts to refer to a control block which is not
      generated in the process.
HPIC should end the process with RC=8 and issue message
      DFS312A ( MSGDFS312A ).

Problem conclusion

  • FABJDFCN has been modified to change timing of issuing FREEMAIN
    macro for internal work area.

FABJDMPN has been modified as follows:
    - To create the HPIC control block by the every part of HALDB,
when FASTIC=(,DUMP) or FASTIC=(,COPY) is specified in the
ICEIN and processed database is HALDB.
    - To pass an address of IMS control block used by DBRC
      unauthorization process to FABJDFCN.

FABJFCCN and FABJFCDN have been modified to search the HPIC
control block with the part name of HALDB, when processed
    database is HALDB.

FABJRDB7, FABJRDB8, and FABJRDB9 have been modified to check
whether the process has started by IMS-compatible JCL or not,
and to terminate with RC=8 and message DFS312A if the process
    has started by IMS-compatible JCL.

FABJSTA has been modified to receive correct address of HPIC
    control block.

The following modules have been reassembled:
    FABJDFC7, FABJDFC8, FABJDFC9, FABJFCC7, FABJFCC8, FABJFCC9
    FABJDMP7, FABJDMP8, FABJDMP9, FABJFCD7, FABJFCD8, FABJFCD9
