    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    QMF SAVE logic assigns a value that is double the length of the
    NAME value supplied by users in the SAVE Command Prompt panel.
    Since long name support is not available in QBE, 18 bytes is
    the maximum name length allowed. Thus, a 9 byte name, whose
    length was doubled to 18 bytes, was the longest name allowed
    for QBE SAVE QUERY processing.

Problem conclusion

  • QBE SAVE logic has been amended to not assign a doubled length
    value for QBE NAMES.
