Error description

  • Loop in IPISTMSC when a large number of incomplete MSC
transactions causes the MSC queue VS limit to be reached. The
synonym chain is not cleared correctly and invalid
links can cause problems, including program loops.

Loop in IPISTMSC when a large number of incomplete MSC
transactions causes the MSC queue VS limit to be reached.
The synonym chain is not cleared correctly and invalid
links can cause problems, including program loops.

Problem conclusion

  • Correctly handle synonym forward/backward chaining when
transactions are flushed in routine IPISTMSC.
VS handling for IMSPA Transit Reporting is inflexible
in the way it allocates storage between various report
    queues.
Finite limits are set without regard to overall VS
availability and may cause incomplete data to be flushed
    prematurely.
Allow more flexibility in VS handling by setting upper
and lower bounds for certain Transit Report queues,
which may be impacted by Transit Options selected or the
    mix of transactions being processed.
