APAR status

Error description

  • When generating a RECOVER utility using the PARALLEL option and
zero
in the 'Nbr of dynamic tape drives' field, the TAPEUNITS keyword
is
generated without a corresponding 'number of tape units'.  This
causes
the RECOVER utility to end with RETURN CODE 8. ( RC08 )

Local fix

  • Set the 'Nbr of dynamic tape drives' field to a value greater
than
zero or set the 'Parallel object restores' field to 'N'.
