PK11802: ADD THE ROUTING OF MESSAGE SWITCHES TO NON-MODIFIABLE PCBS

Error description

  • Currently WLR receives control from the PRCHNG exit point in
module DFSMSCE0. This limits WLR in routing 'message switches'.
WLR will be modified to receive control in the PRISRT exit point
of module DFSMSCE0 thus allowing the routing of message switches
to both modifiable and non-modifiable PCBs

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
WLR does not route message switches for non-modifiable PCBs.
Prior to the introduction of the DFSMSCE0 exits, WLR used
exit DFSCMPR0 for program-to-program routing for modifiable
PCBs. Non-modifiable PCBs were not passed to the DFSCMPR0 exit.
With the introduction of the DFSMSCE0 exit, IMS provides two
program routing exit points (PRCHNG and PRISRT). WLR currently
receives control in the DFSMSCE0 PRCHNG exit point. This exit
point only receives control on a 'CHNG' call. Since non-
modifiable PCBs do not issue 'CHNG' calls, WLR does not receive
control for these requests and cannot route them.

Problem conclusion

Temporary fix

Comments

  • WLR is being enhanced to receive control in the DFSMSCE0
PRISRT exit point instead of the PRCHNG exit point. This
will allow WLR to route message switches to both modifiable
and non-modifiable PCBs. The PRISRT call receives control
on the 'ISRT' call instead of the 'CHNG' call.
