Error description

  • In DB2 Administration Tool line commands DDL GEN and AL are
    not handling PRIQTY and SECQTY properly for table based
    partitioned index when PRIQTY and/or SECQTY values differ
    from first partition values. PRIQTY values are either omitted
    or only the first partition values are reported.

    Additional symptoms: primary secondary quantity pqty sqty
      partitioning indexes negative one -1 value

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Line commands  DDL GEN  and AL are not  *
    *                      handling PRIQTY  and  SECQTY  properly  *
    *                      for table based partitioned index when  *
    *                      PRIQTY  and/or  SECQTY  values  differ  *
    *                      from  first  partition  values. PRIQTY  *

    *                      Currently,  GEN  does not generate the  *
    *                      PARTITION BY  clause  for  partitioned  *
    *                      indexes when  the PARTITIONED  keyword  *

    *                      (ENDING AT clause)  is  not  valid  in  *
    *                      these   cases,   other  parts  of  the  *
    *                      PARTITION BY clause are valid.          *

Problem conclusion

  • ADB2REG has been changed so that the valid clauses are
    generated for PARTITIONED tables. Apply the fix.
