    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: CHECKPOINT LOCATOR PROGRAM IQCABAT0 *
    * FAILS WITH IQCA039E WHEN DUMPQ CHECK *
    * POINT SPANS SEVERAL LOGS. *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    Function IQCABAT0 expects to find the end of DUMPQ checkpoint in
    order to create the timestamp for the CHECKPOINT control card.
    The program that reeads the logs and looks for end of check-
    point does not dynamically allocate all logs following the start
    of the checkpoint. The end of the checkpoint can not be found if
    the checkpoint spans several logs and the function ends with
    error message.

Problem conclusion

  • Function IQCABAT0 has been fixed to obtain the checkpoint
    timestamp from the start of the checkpoint and to generate LOGIN
    DDs for all logs, following the start of the checkpoint.
