Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All DB Repair Facility users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Problem 1: * * REXX program FABZDBLS failed with the * * following error while the user was * * attempting to access a fastpath area: * * MESSAGE IRX0040I ERROR RUNNING FABZDBLS * * , LINE 604: * * FABZDBLS then terminated prematurely. * * Problem 2: * * Panel FABZPS1 does not add a leading * * zero to a single digit area number. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Problem 1. A DSPURX00 return code from a failed RECON lookup call was not detected causing the REXX calculation failure. Problem 2. Panel FABZPS1 had no logic to handle a single digit DSG or AREA NUMBER. If a single digit (1 - 9) was added then the data entry failed, because it was not padded with a leading zero.
Problem conclusion
Problem 1. An error message was added to notify the user of a RECON lookup failure and terminate processing at that point. Problem 2. Code was added to panel FABZPS1 to ensure that single digit DSG or AREA NUMBERs are always padded with a leading zero. 120Y FABZDBLS FABZMAIN FABZPS1 FABZ09
Temporary fix
Fastpath database data set name not registered in RECON causes this failure.
