PK06816: RETURN CODE 8 ON VSAM PUT DUE TO IDENTICAL LRSNS RC08

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When DB2 logs two actions (updates/inserts/deletes) to the same
  row in a table with identical LRSNs, this causes a duplicate key
  to be generated internally by ALA. This duplicate key causes a
  ret code= 8  ( RC08 )  on a VSAM PUT by ALA.
