PJ43470: CASE CLIENT DISPLAYS "OBJECT DOESN'T SUPPORT PROPERTY OR METHOD 'ATTACHEVENT'" VIA INTERNET EXPLORER 11

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• A run time error can be triggered when an eForm template that is
  used in the solution case page contains a choice list or has
  multiple tabs.  The "Object doesn't support property or method
  'attachEvent'" message occurs when a user attempts to select a
  value from a choice list.  In some instances, this issue is
  triggered when a user attempts to open a form that has multiple
  tabs.
  
  This issue is only reproducible with Internet Explorer 11.  It
  is not reproducible with Internet Explorer 10 or Firefox 38.1.
  

Local fix

• Use a different version of Internet Explorer, such as version
  10;
  or a different browser, such as Firefox or Chrome

Problem conclusion

• This issue is resolved in the 5.2.1.3-ICM-FP003 GA patch.  A
  later version of the eForm library is include to support the
  missing method.
