Error description

  • BSN1507E message is rarely issued when multiple conditional
    reorganization jobs are processed concurrently.
During the Policy Services initialization call, the Policy
Services accesses an ITKB repository member exclusively a very
little time.If an ORF job requests the Policy Services
initialization call just when another ORF job is accessing the
ITKB repository member, the BSN1507E error might occur.
This is a forward fit of Tools Base V1.5 APAR PI97849.

This APAR resolves following issues of the Policy Services.
    - Forward fit of Tools Base V1.5 APAR PI97849.
(MSGBSN1507E is issued when multiple conditional reorg jobs
      are processed concurrently)
    - The AD server issues a large number of BSN4021E and BSN4022E
messages after issuing BSN7606E message due to a lack of
      storages.
    - When the AD server is started with ITKB repositories that were
created by Tools Base 1.5, the AD server issues BSN2027E and
      abends with U4095.

Problem conclusion

  • When the Policy Services requests to access the ITKB repository
member exclusively and the Policy Services received 'member in
use ' state, the Policy Services waits and retries to access the
    ITKB repository.

The Policy Services has been modified to avoid issuing BSN4021E
and BSN4022E messages after issuing BSN7606E message.
The Policy Services has been modified not to issue BSN2027E
message by updating the domain record in the ITKB repository if
the domain record level is Tools Base 1.5.
