Error description

  • In a CA-MIM 12.5 environment, when performing a MULTI-LPAR SLB
    Restore of Offload the user receives the
    ARY#RIO TASK nn ENQ_SYSTEMS ERR message.
    During MULTI_LPAR processing to avoid a UCB scan issue ARY
    obtains a series of enqueues; STEP, SYSTEM, and SYSTEMS.
    When GRSRNL=EXCLUDE (i.e. - CA-MIM 12.5 environment) GRS
    changes a SCOPE=SYSTEMS to a SCOPE=SYSTEM.  Because of this,
    we effectively enqueue on SCOPE=SYSTEM twice.
    The second SCOPE=SYSTEM receives a RC=8 (i.e. - this task
    already requested an enqueue on this resource).
    When CA-MIM processes the SCOPE=SYSTEMS, it propogates the
    request even though the calls receives a RC=8.  So the fix
    is to ignore RC=8 because the call does get propogated and
    in this case does not indicate an error.
    Note: This bugfix resolves the issue in a CA-MIM 12.5
    environment only.  Recovery Expert does not support releases
    of CA-MIM before 12.5.
