Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICSPlex SM V5R1M0, V5R2M0, * * V5R3M0 and V5R4M0 Users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When using the COVC transaction to * * import Web User Interface viewsets * * from a CICS Transient Data Queue, the * * IMPORT VIEWSET dialogue returns: * * "EYUVS0917E Import operation failed" * * even though there are valid viewset * * records in the dataset associated with * * the named Transient Data Queue. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: All Web User Interface regions should be * * restarted after applying the PTF that * * resolves this issue. * **************************************************************** The COVC transaction is used to administrate the Views displayed by the CICSPlex SM Web User (Browser) Interface. Viewsets may be imported from members of z/OS partitioned datasets, or from sequential files associated with a CICS Extrapartition Transient Data Queue. When the COVC IMPORT TD Queue panel is used to specifically import VIEWSET records (rather than MENU, USER, USERGRP, MAP or ALL), then the validation of the VIEWSET keyword of the "Import Option" fails, causing the "Import operation failed" message to be displayed.
Problem conclusion
The import option keyword validation has been fixed to test the "VIEWSET" key word for the correct length.
