PI94434: DFHAP1301 DFHSR0001 0C4 IN LE MODULE CEECCICS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• ASRA abends occurred since migrating to CICS 5.4,
  for a variety of different programs.
  The ASRA is an 0C4 in LE module, CEECCICS that occurs after a
  decimal overflow exception, abend 0CA.

  DFHAP1301 Language Environment has detected a corruption of its
    control blocks. Transaction xxxx currently executing.
  .
  DFHSR0001 An abend (code 0C4/AKEA) has occurred at offset
    X'FFFFFFFF' in program xxxx.
  .
  The problem is that on the call to LE for
  RUNUNIT_END_INVOCATION, the 6th parameter is incorrect.
  (See the 6th parm in the data2 field on the trace entry :
  AP 1948 APLI EVENT CALL-TO-LE/370 - Rununit_End_Invocation).

  After an application program causes a decimal overflow
  exception, CICS calls Language Environment for
  program_check_recovery then rununit_end_invocation. The sixth
  parameter passed to LE on the rununit_end_invocation call is
  not pointing to the thread_token but to data that causes LE
  module CEECCICS to program check.

Problem conclusion

• DFHAPLI1 has been changed to ensure the sixth parameter on the
  call to LE for rununit_end_invocation after a decimal overflow
  exception points to the thread_token.
