Error description

  • On Portal systems with a high level of WCM Authoring activity,
    it is possible that the JCR Seedlist Cleanup task can cause lock
    waits in the ICMSTJCRTSSEEDLISTPENDING table. This occurs if
    the Seedlist crawler or the JCR Seedlist Cleanup routine (via
    the JCR Seedlist Janitor background task) are not run
    successfully on a regular basis.  The number of rows
    that need to be deleted from this table can reach a large
    enough volume as to prevent the delete processing from being
    completed in a reasonable amount of time.

  • This fix changes the delete routine to reduce the number of rows
    that the delete will attempt in one SQL statement as well as in
    one iteration of the Cleanup routine.
    
    The fix has two new properties that can be defined (defaults
    exist if they aren't defined) in the JCR Resource Environment
    Provider:
    
    Login to WAS console, navigate to Resource environment providers
    
    > JCR ConfigService PortalContent > Custom properties
    
    Property name:
    jcr.text.search.seedlist.cleanup.pending.max.deletes.per.
    interval
    
    Default value: 100000
    
    Description: For a given iteration of the Seedlist Cleanup
    Utility, this value defines the number of rows from the
    ICMSTJCRTSSEEDLISTPENDING will attempt to delete prior to
    terminating the iteration.
    
    
    Property name:  jcr.text.search.seedlist.cleanup.pending.limit
    
    Default value: 25000
    
    Description:  This value defines the maximum number of rows that
    the Seedlist Cleanup Utility will attempt to delete from the
    ICMSTJCRTSSEEDLISTPENDING table in a single SQL call.
