* USERS AFFECTED: Users of the DB2 Object Comparison Tool for  *
*                 z/OS.                                        *

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: SMP/E apply of PTF UI51739 causes       *
*                      issues with other PTFs because UI51739  *
*                      supersedes PTF UI51345 causing          *
*                      error IEW2456E.                         *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
SMP/E apply of PTF UI51739 causes issues with other
PTFs because UI51740 supersedes PTF UI51345 which
contains a crucial update of JCLIN for GOCCCM module.
Customers would see the following error:

IEW2456E 9207 SYMBOL ADB0IX1 UNRESOLVED.
MEMBER COULD NOT BE INCLUDED FROM THE
DESIGNATED CALL LIBRARY.

Problem conclusion

  • Problem has been resolved. This APAR delivers the
update required by PTF UI51345 that was omitted
due to UI51739 superseding UI51345.
