Error description

  • You are receiving the following messages in one of your CICS
TS 5.4 regions intermittently when they are connecting their
gmgrs depending on who intializes first,
.
DFHMQ0308 I MQNAME MQGT is stopped. Connect request deferred
DFHSI8443 Connection to MQ not completed. Adapter is awaiting
initialization of MQ
.
This issue does not happen in TS 53 with the same setup.

Problem summary

* USERS AFFECTED: All CICS Users.                              *

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: At CICS initialization, CICS may not    *
*                      connect to MQ.                          *
****************************************************************
At CICS initialization the following messages DFHMQ0308 and
DFHSI8443 may be seen and CICS does not connect to MQ. CICS has
completed initialization before the MQ subsystem and an attempt
to reconnect is not made.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHMQCON has been change to correctly post the ECB for the
alert monitor.
