Error description

  • An FPA FREESPACE RECLAIM is run and during this job an
IDCAMS EXAMINE command is issued to collect information
from the secondary index database data sets to generate the
Secondary Index Freespace Reclaim report. If the EXAMINE command
fails with error message "IDC11724I DATA COMPONENT CA NOT KNOWN
TO SEQUENCE SET", the FREESPACE job fails due to the CC=04 of
    the EXAMINE command.

This APAR will modify the FPA FREESPACE RECLAIM function to
issue a warning message and continue processing even though
IDCAMS EXAMINE command gets CC=4. RC=04

Local fix

  • As a workaround, you can specify FS_RECLAIM_REPORT=NO to avoid
    issuing the IDCAMS EXAMINE command.
