    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: CSQX635E Invalid Cipher Specification *
    * Error message supplies insufficient *
    * information about the error. The *
    * cipher spec is shown as ???? and *
    * there is no way to determine the remote *

    ****************************************************************
When CSQX635E is issued due to an invalid cipher spec, the
cipher is not always identified and instead displayed as '????'.
In cases where the channel is not available, there is no way to
determine the source of the failing connection.

Problem conclusion

  • Additional code has been added to identify the invalid cipher
spec and report it in the CSQX635E message. The message has also
been extended to include the connection details of the channel.

Knowledge Centre is changed to reflect changes with connection
id showing on CSQX635E message for for V9.0.0 and V9.1.0 MQ
    z/OS

    com.ibm.mq.ref.doc/csq_x.htm

    CSQX635E requires changing from-
"csect-name Invalid cipher specification ciph for
    channel channel-name"
    to-
"csect-name Invalid cipher specification ciph for
    channel channel-name connection conn-id"
Additionally, the following statement in the Explanation
"The value is shown in the message as a four-character code."

    requires changing to

"the value is shown in the message as the full cipher string"
