Error description
In a CPSM environment, each CICSPlex has a designated MP ( Maintenance Point ) CMAS. All changes to the CICSPlex are made through this MP CMAS, and other CMASes managing the CICSPlex receive notification of those changes by way of MPSYNCCR (Maintenance Point Synchronization) records. . The MP CMAS keeps those changes for a period of time, but eventually must delete old change records, under the assumption that all the other CMASes managing the CICSPlex have received them by then. At the current time, there are no externalized messages indicating which MPSYNCCR records were deleted. . In order to improve serviceability, new diagnostic messages are being introduced to provide information about the deleted MPSYNCCR when that process occurs. . All changes to the CICSPlex are * * made through this MP CMAS, and other * * CMASes managing the CICSPlex receive * * notification of those changes by way of * * MPSYNCCR (Maintenance Point * * Synchronization) records. * * * * CMAS periodically deletes the old * * MPSYNCCR records. However, there is no * * way to tell what have been deleted from * * the DREP (data repository), which makes * * it hard for problem diagnosis. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: After applying the PTF that resolves this * * APAR, all CMASes must be restarted. Note * * that the restarts do not need to occur at * * the same time. * **************************************************************** MP CMAS uses MPSYNCCR records to synchronize the resource definitions between CMASes to ensure that the resource definitions between CMASes are exactly the same. However, the CMAS periodically cleans up the old MPSYNCCR. If no records show when these records were deleted, it is not convenient to locate the problem when the data between CMAS is inconsistent.
Problem conclusion
When CMAS deletes the MPSYNCCR record, the deleted record is printed in the trace of the CPSM. If there are multiple records deleted, only the first and last ones are printed.
