  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When starting QMF 11.1 VUE in a Db2 for *
  *                      z/OS VUE database defined with SCCSID   *
  *                      of 290 (Japanese Extended Katakana),    *
  *                      the user will receive an invalid        *
  *                      DSQ10322 'QMF VUE cannot be started on  *
  *                      this database.'                         *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  In order to verify that QMF VUE is running with a Db2 VUE
  database, QMF VUE executes a Db2 GET DIAGNOSTICS statement and
  examines the DB2_SERVER_CLASS_NAME. QMF VUE was comparing what
  was returned by Db2 VUE running with SCCSID 290 to the EBCDIC
  SCCSID 37 string 'QDB2 for DB2 for z/OS VUE'. As lower case
  characters are not in the same position in the two character
  sets, the string did not match properly. QMF VUE has been
  amended to properly detect Db2 VUE in a SCCSID 290 database.
  
  Note that this problem is specific to QMF VUE running in a DB2
  VUE database defined with SCCSID 290. The PTF is safe for all
  features of QMF Version 11.1 to apply.
