Error description

  • This is a PE-FIX APAR for ITB1.6 APAR PI72067 (PTF UI45255). An
ABEND0C4 occurred in TOSI module FOIAM10F or FOIAM50F after
applying UI45255 and using IMS V15.

Problem summary

* USERS AFFECTED: All users of IMS Tools Online System in IBM  *
*                 Tools Base V1.6 (FMID=HAHN160).              *
****************************************************************
* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: If TOSI UI45255 has been applied and    *
*                      IMS Version 15 is being used, an ABEND  *
*                      0C4 can occur in TOSI module FOIAM10F   *
*                      or FOIAM50F.                            *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
If the customer has applied TOSI PTF UI45255 and IMS Version 15
is being used, an ABEND0C4 can occur in TOSI module FOIAM10F or
FOIAM50F when one of the following TOSI commands for DEDB AREA
is requested by IMS Tools product:
- DBRTEST AREA
- DBRSYNC AREA
- STASYNC AREA
- STOSYNC AREA
This abend will not occur if the customer is using IMS
Version 14 or earlier.

latest IMS macro to fix the above problem:

- FOIMSGIF, FOIPPUE1, FOISRBTF
