Error description

In development of the application using JSF, The value of
"javax.face.
ViewState" is set to input field of hidden.
This means for implicit prevention of CSRF.
When the value of "javax.face.ViewState" is falsified
maliciously, the
application can prevent CSRF attack by displaying the error
message.
However, when this value is set to "stateless", the
application
can't
prevent CSRF attack due to be regarded as stateless view.

To deal with this problem, the statement of protected-view
is
set in
faces-config.xml, though, that doesn't work in WAS liberty
16.0.0.4.

When you are in a stateful view, if you manually modify the
value attribute of hidden input ?javax.faces.ViewState? to be
"stateless", no exception is thrown.

Problem conclusion

The JSF MyFaces 2.2 code was updated to throw a FacesException
in this scenario.

WebSphere Application Server Liberty Profile fixpack 17.0.0.4
and WebSphere Application Server Traditional Profile fixpack
