Error description
? During deployment of CTG cicseci.rar from CTG 9.2 into a WebSphere Application server running with Java 8, the reauthentication-support attribute of an @Connector annotation is missing from the generated ra.xml. After installing the resource adapter, the descriptor (ra.xml) can be viewed in the administrative console by selecting: Resource adapters > ECIResourceAdapter > Deployment Descriptor The descriptor should contain a reauthentication-support element. For example: <reauthentication-support>true</reauthentication-support> Note: Ensure that CICS APAR PI89384 is applied.
Local fix
If the JVM can switched temporarily to a lower level level, and the server restarted, the cicseci.rar can be deployed and annotation processed. Once processed, the server can be restarted with Java 8.
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server V8.5 * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The reauthenticationSupport=true * * attribute of a @Connector annotation * * is lost after installation. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: When a resource adapter is installed on * * WebSphere Application Server, and it * * contains an @Connector( ... * * reauthenticationSupport=true ... ), a * * reauthentication-support element should be * * generated in the descriptor, ra.xml. For * * example: * * <reauthentication- * * support>true</reauthentica * * tion-support> * * The ra.xml can be viewed in the * * administrative console after the resource * * adapter is installed by selecting * * Resource adapters > ECIResourceAdapter > * * Deployment Descriptor * * The problem seems to occur only when using * * Java 8 because the order in which the * * annotation attributes are processed * * changes when using Java 8. The code was * * sensitive to the processing order. * **************************************************************** The code has been updated to process the annotation attributes of the @Connector annotation properly.
Problem conclusion
The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.5.5.13 and 9.0.0.7. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for delivery information: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=180&uid=swg27004980
