User experiences JVM crash on Windows in ProcessCPU64.dll while
invoking PMI to collect cpu statistics due to potential stack
corruption when very large number of Windows processes are
active.

Problem conclusion

  • Code changes were made to carry out additional checks when a
large number of Windows processes are active to prevent any
potential stack corruption.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
packs 8.5.5.17 and 9.0.5.3.  Please refer to the Recommended
Updates page for
