Error description
When doing an ALTER TABLESPACE on a partitioned table space with index-controlled partitioning to partition-by-range, there is no CREATE INDEX statement yet Compare generates message: ADB7139E The CREATE INDEX statement may lead to error SQLCODEN662/SQLCODE -662 because the table >table_name< on which the index is being created is in the table space >tablespace_name<. The table space is defined as >tablespace_type<.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of DB2 Object Comparison Tool for * * z/OS who compare from tablespace level. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A Compare that alters a partitioned * * table space with index-controlled * * partitioning to partition-by-range * * generates erroneous message * * ADB7139E. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Partitioned table space with index-controlled partitioning is altered to partition-by-range. There is no change in the index, but Object Compare generated message ADB7139E after comparing the index. ADB7139E The CREATE INDEX statement may lead to error SQLCODEN662/SQLCODE=-662 because the table xxx.xxxxxx on which the index is being created is in the table space xxxxxxx.xxxxxxx. The table space is defined as partition-by-range. Running the WSL resulted in: ALTER TABLESPACE statement DSNT408I SQLCODE = -650, ERROR: THE ALTER STATEMENT CANNOT BE EXECUTED, REASON 8 Since an ALTER is done, not a CREATE INDEX, the ADB7139E message should indicate SQLCODEN650 / SQLCODE=-650, not SQLCODE=-662. ADB7139E is updated to reflect this case. The new message is: The CREATE INDEX statement may lead to error SQLCODEN662/SQLCODE=-662 because the table >table name< on which the index is being created is in the table space >tablespace name<. The table space is defined as <tablespace type> ALTER TABLESPACE may lead to SQLCODE=-650 because the partitioning is index controlled. Convert the table space to table controlled partitioning first.
