PI86570: IEC141I 013-20 ON DD SYSPRINT CAN OCCUR WHEN USING IEBGENER FOR FAST BACKUP

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If IEBGENER is used for fast backup of the EXTFILE and SYSLGRNX
  processing uses the REPORT UTILITY, an IEC141I 013-20 on
  DD SYSPRINT error can occur. This happens due to a change
  in the LRECL of SYSPRINT. This APAR will prevent the error
  from happening. If the allocation for SYSPRINT needs to be
  overridden for the REPORT UTILITY usage, then IEBGENER
  cannot be used for the fast backup of the EXTFILE.
  

Local fix

• Do not use IEBGENER for the fast backup of the EXTFILE.
  This is controlled by the '*Use fast backup during
  continuous mode' User Setting.
