PI85986: ORF REJECTS GDG BASE NAME WITH MORE THAN 22 CHARACTERS

APAR status

Error description

• When ICTRLR(1) is specified with ICDYN(Y), ICHLQ and ICMID
  keywords, ORF dynamically allocates image copy as a GDG data
  set. If the GDG
  base name that are generated from the ICHLQ and ICMID keyword
  values is longer than 22 characters, the ORF job fails with the
  following
  error:
  
  HRF01128E  IC 1 DSN for ddname too long
  HRF01000E  DSN:  gdg.base.name(+1)
  HRF01000I  Verify input ended, return code is 20
  
  ORF should allow GDG base name with up to 35 characters.
