PI85525: RESIDUAL LABEL DATA MAY APPEAR IN CSV EXTRACT FIELDS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• After writing the initial labels record to a CSV extract, the
  output buffer is not cleared for the full length of the record.
  Depending on the formatting of results for the subsequent data
  fields, this may result in some residual label data appearing in
  the following records.

  Two additional issues addressed by this APAR:
  - An issue exists with CQS Knowledge Module processing where a
  record containing multiple IMS Message segments is truncated and
  displays only the first segment.
  - An issue exists with MQ Knowledge Modules processing where a
  record containing an IMS Message segment may have been truncated
  on creation and contain less than the recorded length.

Problem conclusion

• 1. After each record is written to the CSV extract clear the
     buffer for the full length of the data written, rather than
     a fixed default.
  
  2. CQS KM processing is revised to correctly process and display
     multiple IMS Message segments.
  
  3. MQ KM processing is revised to determine if the full length
     of an IMS Message segment is available for display, if the
     segment has been truncated only the available length is
     display.
