  • Using CICS Web Services, if validation is turned on, the amount
of messages should be reduced.

Problem summary

*                      written to the log file during          *
*                      web service message validation          *
*                      processing.                             *
****************************************************************
If validation is specified for a WEBSERVICE definition,
CICS will invoke a JVMSERVER to validate that the SOAP message
body conforms to the schema. This results in the WSDLFile
class logging messages to the output log file for the JVM.
Over time, this file can grow in size.

Problem conclusion

  • CICS has been changed to avoid logging the messages during
online validation processing. Note - the messages are still
validly issued to the log file during DFHWS2LS and DFHSC2LS
web service assistant processing.
